Michael Daigle joined Summit Brand Protection in November, 2018, as the Senior Director, Central Region. Mr. Daigle brings to Summit approximately 35 years of experience, in Federal Law Enforcement, Global Security and Military Intelligence. He served as a Special Agent and Supervisory Special Agent with the United States Customs Service (and its successor agencies, ICE and CBP), retiring as the Deputy Special Agent in Charge of the CBP Office of Internal Affairs, Houston Field Office. Over the course of his career with U.S. Customs, he conducted numerous major international criminal investigations involving the trafficking in counterfeit trademarked and copyrighted merchandise. One such investigation earned him a Platinum Record award from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for identifying and dismantling a major international organized crime syndicate committing music piracy.
Mr. Daigle has also worked with many large trademark holders, such as the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), Rolex, Piaget, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Dooney & Bourke, on investigations involving the sale of counterfeit merchandise, violating their respective trademarks and copyrights. Simultaneous to his Federal Law Enforcement career, he served as a Naval Intelligence Officer, assigned to the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), retiring at the rank of Lieutenant Commander. Most recently, since retiring from the federal government, Mr. Daigle has worked in the private sector, as the Chief Security Officer (CSO) for two multinational corporations. Mr. Daigle earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida and earned the designation as a Senior Executive Fellow from Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government.
